New Digipak sketches

To ensure My second attempt at a digipak was perfect I took influences from the old but also added a lot more features for these I created sketches to help with photography and placement

Unfortunately the drawings did not convert well and are slightly blurry

I have attached below a email I sent to virgin records asking if possible me to use a song from a band under there record label, in my case it was particularly complex as the song I am using is a cover of two different songs each with there own record labels

 unfortunately as of yet I have not received a reply

Shot breakdown

My ideal target audience

I have created a fake Facebook profile for a person in my ideal target audience

for a profile picture I used a heavily edited photo reflecting het interest in photography and style this is something they could be related easily to my video as it is also heavily edited and stylised

The film I also mentioned is a indie movie with an original approach much like what I plan to do for my music video

I included  a lot of bastille references into her groups/likes, favourite music and status as liking the band my music video is based on is also important

Target audience research

I have asked 10 people roughly my age (16-19) a series of questions to create a accurate picture if the most popular type of music video for my age is I think it will be easiest to have a target audience of my age as It will be easier to interview those that I am around most and I will be able to portray my own opinion more frequently

Which style of music video do you prefer?

Concept: creative with no particular focus on the artist performing or a storyline

Performance: focusing mainly on the artist playing instruments/singing

Narritive: Focusing on telling a story usually using artist as an actor but not always

which is your favourite type of video?

I am pleased with this outcome as in my personal opinion concept is my favourite a few added comments were - that they liked the artistic licence presented by the idea of concept and some people can tend to fine a narrative based video cringe and cheesy

(Given that my chosen genre is indie)

Have you all listened to indie music in the past? if so do you have any input on the genral style of a indie video?

: I like indie videos and I like how a lot of them are concept based

:I think costume and lighting would be important for a bastille track as they normally make there videos very arty

:You should have a small cast to maintain focus as large casts are fore more dance videos

What do you like about the idea?

1. I like that it is a small amount go actors

2. It's at night so the lighting can be really cool

3.The fact that both the actors are female will show a good image and will also make the video stand out and be diverse

4.I think it goes well with the beat

5.I really like that projection idea and am interested to see how it turns out

6.I think the fact it is in woodland area is fun and different

7.I really want to see what you are going to project on molly's and Ellie's (The actors) faces I think it will be a interesting effect

What didn't you like about the idea?

1. The projector thing sounds really impractical

2. I just don't really like bastille's videos or songs

3. If its filmed at night without specialist equipment the quality will be grainy
